”Karton-Pak” S.A. commences, together with its business partner - Michael Huber Polska (http://www.mhp.com.pl/), implementation of a joint project under the name of "safe packaging." Together, we would like our innovative activities to contribute to increased awareness and responsibility in our globalised world.
The objective of the project is to implement new solutions that introduce innovative and safe cardboard packaging, including packaging for automatic wrapping of food products.
Safe packaging includes:
- Cardboard: used in the manufacture of the new product group complies with restrictive standards and is fully bio-degradable.
- Paint: is characterised by low migration into print layer (cardboard) and reduces generation of hexanal; the paint is used for direct contact with food products. Its application does not require additional functional barriers.
- Varnish: allows for uninhibited drying of paint by absorption, at the same time not changing the level of security for print quality and gloss.
Safe packaging will be characterised by unique properties, perceptible by final users. Thanks to our activities, the final user will be able to store food products without exposing them to the risk of penetration of harmful compounds. Safe packaging will be characterised by: sensory neutrality, low migration of mutagenic, reprotoxic and carcinogenic (CMR) substances contained in paint and other components. For the final recipient (consumer) this will mean lack of changes in the smell, taste, texture and appearance of the product wrapped in our packaging.
